    TRAINING ARRANGEMENTS
    For The
    2003 ISAF WORLDS, CADIZ, SPAIN
    16/01/03

    GENERAL
So many people wish to train that it has been necessary to set up a system to cope. The FAV has allocated one of the car parks near the harbour in Puerto Sherry for visiting foreign crews to put their material. Unfortunately, there is no covered area in this car park and so the FAV have agreed to allow Mistral sailors to keep their sails and boards in the sail locker, at a charge of €uros18 per sailor per month (or part of month). This is less than the price that the local sailors pay to keep their material here.

    COACH BOATS
There is not enough room for all the coach boats to be moored on the pontoon close to the FAV offices and the slipway. All coach boats shall be moored in the main marina at Puerto Sherry and launched after launching there. The cost for a boat up to 5 m is €uros 3.50 per day or €uros 63 a month + VAT. A boat over 5 metres in length will be charged at a monthly rate of €uros 103.58 + VAT or Daily rate of €uros 5.75 € + VAT.
Each use of crane to launch/remove from water is €uros 40 + VAT. The crane service is only available from Monday to Friday from 0900hrs to 1700hrs. It is forbidden to launch Coachboats from the slipway due to the damage that has been caused to it.

    PARKING
Vehicles and trailers must be left in the car parking area set aside by the FAV for the material of visiting foreign crews. Serious parking problems are being caused by visiting vehicles being left close to the FAV offices, sometimes for days without informing anybody or leaving the keys with the FAV.

    CAMPING
The port authorities have confirmed that camping is not permitted within the port area.

    OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS
Spain is a country that is particularly keen on inspecting official documentation. The law states that an individual must have the official documents for his/her boat/RIB/vehicle with him/her at all times or at least be able to produce them to the Civil Guard within 24 hours. Please do not forget because there have already been some problems.

    WATER IS SCARCE!
Turn the hoses off after use! Water is a really scarce commodity in the area. Restrictions are imposed on a regular basis. Please be careful how you use it and stress water conservation to your friends.

    NOTIFICATION
Teams and individuals must fax the FAV before departure from home stating when they will be arriving in Puerto Sherry; how many people there are in the group; and for how long they intend to stay. Fax: +34 956 87 48 05.
